Hello Abbie!

Abbie was born in Decatur, IL, but moved to Champaign at the age of one, where she has spent her whole life. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before taking a year off to work at the Champaign County Humane Society. this time, she met a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and decided to enroll in Parkland College's Veterinary Technician Program, graduating in 2020. After three years at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Abbie worked at various clinics before joining Curtis Road Animal Hospital as a CVT in July. In September, she took on the role of Office Manager dedicated to keeping pets healthy and ensuring the clinic operates smoothly.

Abbie has a strong passion for Animal Behavior, Rehabilitation, and Nutrition. She enjoys crafts (when time allows), movies, and reading. Her pet family includes a Labradoodle named Lizzy and two Domestic Shorthairs, Freya and Princess Buttercup, who add joy and entertainment to her life.
